Established almost 40 years ago in the late 1970s, Studio d’Arte GR quickly focused its activity on the promotion and valorization of postwar avante-garde artwork of clear Latin matrix, favoring those artists who had created a special, personal propulsion and thrust during the triumph and eclipse of “Informale”. In the 1980s, Studio d’Arte GR became intent upon relaunching certain aspects of Abstractionism of the 1950s and 1960s which in Europe and especially Italy had been compared to American Abstract Expressionism, interesting itself in the works of artists such as Afro, Alberto Burri, Giuseppe Santomaso and Emilio Vedova.
